How do I install a cab file onto my Device
SmartPhone\Windows Mobile Standard
[1] Connect your phone to your PC and establish an active sync connection
[2] Using file explorer on your PC, copy the cab file to your mobile device into:-
On Smartphone 2003 - Storage\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories
Windows Mobile 5.0 - Windows\Start Menu\Accessories
Windows Mobile 6.0 - Windows\Start Menu
[3] On your device open the folder via the Start Menu.
[4] You will see the cab file listed, select it and run it.
This will install the application onto your device and remove the cab file (note WM6 may not remove the cab so remove it via file explorer).

Whats the difference between a cab installer and exe installer
The cab file needs to be run on your device to install the application.
The exe file needs to be run on your PC with your device connected via activesync. This will install the application to your device.
Im unable to activate software
For activation to work you need a working internet connection. This can be done either via GPRS or active sync.
Check you can browse to any internet site on your device in internet explorer, if you can then activation should work.
If problems persist, try using active sync.
[1] Run active sync on your desktop, select File->Connection setting, and ensure 'this computer connects to' the internet is set.
[2] Connect your device to the PC, and create a partnership.
[3] Try using internet explorer on your device to ensure the internet connection is working.
[4] Try to activate the software.
If you do not have the setting in step [1] above, install thre latest version of active sync and try again. The latest version can be downloaded from Microsoft on this link.
If your still unable to activate, email support@madbeetle.com with :-

Try soft reset your device. For smartphones this involves turning it off and on again, for PPC's this involves pressing the soft reset button.
I've installed a animated home screen and its flashing
This happens if you install a homescreen designed for a screen resolution of 176x220 on a QVGA (240x320) device. Download a new homescreen designed for your device.
I have a new phone but my software doesn't look right when its run
This is because the software is designed for a low resolution device. Your new device has a high resoultion screen. Check our web site for the particular product to see if we've updated it for the new device.
I have installed the animation plugin, and a animated homescreen but its not animating
Go into you power options (Start->Settings->Power Settings) and check that all of the power options are set to a minute(s) timeout value. They must not be set to NEVER. Select done, then turn your device off and on again.
When I install the application, I get an error saying its not a valid CE application
When you purchase the software you will get a file ending in .exe, or .cab. The files ending in .exe should be run on your PC with you device connected. The files ending in .cab should be run on the device.
I have windows Vista and the desktop installer fails.
Please email us with your order number, and we will send you the .cab file which you can install directly on your device, or you maybe able to download the cab file from the web site youn purchased the software from.
